This series of prints is influenced by traditional Mexican ceramics. These jarritos which are traditionally adorned with floral and nature imagery were to be handmade and decorated with produce sold at my family’s business. Exploring the relationship between food, culture and identity these jarritos have been printed on top of handmade paper that all have a base of newsprint that papayas are wrapped in mixed with recycled paper and either tomatillo skins, strawberry stems and bell pepper saved from produce in my home.
